Short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the product, we never sell your data, and your snippet content is never used to train AI models.
What we collect
Email address — when you join the early access waitlist.
Browser context — the active tab URL, page title, and text visible in the field you are typing in. This is processed locally in your browser to generate snippet suggestions. It is never stored on our servers.
Snippet content — the text snippets you create and save. These are stored encrypted in your account and are never shared with third parties or used to train AI models.
Basic usage data — which features you use, so we can improve the product. No content from your snippets or browser activity is included.
How we use it
To send you a single launch notification email when SnipSmart goes live.
To sync your snippets across devices when you are signed in.
To generate AI-powered context suggestions within your browser session.
To understand how the product is used and where to improve it.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data to anyone.
We do not use your snippets or browser activity for AI model training.
We do not read your emails, messages, or document content beyond the active text field you are typing in.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (see Infrastructure below).
Infrastructure
Authentication and database storage are handled by Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States.
Snippet data is encrypted at rest.
Context analysis for AI suggestions runs locally in your browser using the Chrome extension.
Data retention
Waitlist emails are deleted within 30 days of a launch notification being sent, unless you have created an account.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
We will delete your data within 14 days of a verified deletion request.
Your rights
You can request a copy of all data we hold on you.
You can request correction or deletion of your data at any time.

Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will notify early access members by email before the changes take effect.
